CALIFORNIA'S PREMIER
BUYER AND RESTORER

About Us

California Pinball is not in the business of making money selling pinball machines.  In fact, we don't sell pinball machines. We have been buying, collecting, and restoring coin-operated pinball machines for almost 30 years. We have amassed a huge collection of Bally, Williams, Gottlieb, and Stern coin-operated pinball machines, made from the 1950's to present.  Because we don't sell pinball machines, you don't have to worry about receiving a low-ball offer to buy your machine and we can assure you that it won't be listed for sale next week at double what we paid you for it.

Assess Your Machine’s Value

There are four main components to a pinball machine.   They include the cabinet, the playfield, and backglass, and printed circuit boards.  Please review the "Evaluation" tab to learn more about how a pinball machine is valued.  We discuss in depth the four main components and how each one can affect the value of the machine.

Pinball machines are kind of like cars.  As time goes by, they get used and their condition deteriorates. Therefore, they require frequent maintenance and often require extensive reconditioning to maintain or regain their value.

  • THE FIRST STEP IN THE EVAUATION PROCESS IS TO ASSESS THE CONDITION OF THE MACHINE'S CABINET BODY, HEAD, COIN DOOR, AND LEGS

  • THE SECOND STEP IN THE EVALUATION PROCESS IS TO ASSESS THE CONDITION OF THE MACHINE'S PLAYFIELD AND PLAYFIELD COMPONENTS, INCLUDING BUMPERS, DROP TARGETS, AND PLAYFIELD PLASTIC PIECES

  •  THE THIRD STEP IN THE EVAUATION PROCESS IS TO ASSESS THE CONDITION OF THE MACHINE'S BACKGLASS

  • THE FOURTH STEP IN THE EVALUATION PROCESS IS TO ASSESS THE OVERALL PLAYABILITY OF THE MACHINE, INCLUDING THE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS, THE SCORE DISPLAYS, AND ALL OTHER MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
